Our Trip to Bali!

We celebrated our graduation day in Bali for 1 week. It was an amazing trip. Bali is sooooo beautiful!
People there are so polite, different from people here in Jakarta. However, Kuta beach is not as good as I expected. But, areas around there are so enjoyable and are must visited. By the way, I am so delighted, I am now officially a senior high student! :D
We also watched Kecak dance, one of the most famous Balinese dance. It was wonderful! I'm so proud of Indonesia to have a great and artistic culture. The perfect end to my amazing trip!

Do You Really Have To?

I see a lot of fashion people in Indonesia, my current country, who are so attached to something called 'brand'. I know, we often feel proud and satisfied when we wear something branded, like Zara, Mango, Topshop, Forever 21, etc. Well, me too. But, do you know? In foreign countries, people usually use those brands as their daily clothes. So, if you sometimes feel down because you can't afford to buy those things, don't be sad! Sometimes, local brands and products are much better. :)

I found this good quote in a  local fashion magazine:
"You don't have to be rich to be happy, just like you don't have to be branded to be stylish."

Books of The Day

I was reading through a magazine, when I found a recommendation about this book. I fell in love with the title and cover, Style Diaries: World Fashion from Berlin to Tokyo.
I immediately added this book to my wish list! Then, I decided to go to Aksara bookstore, willing to buy that book. Unfortunately, they are out of stock. I ended up buying Face Hunter, which is great as well.
Last Saturday, my sister asked me to accompany her to a bookstore called Basheer which is located at Kemang. It is a specialized bookstore focusing on design books and magazines. Surprisingly, I found the book there! Yeah, I'm so happy :D

Face Hunter by Yvan Rodic contains a lot of awesome and super inspiring photos of street styler. While, Style Diaries: World Fashion from Berlin to Tokyo by Simone Werle is a bit different. It tells us about various unique and inspiring bloggers, including their photos.

I have to admit that I love seeing street styles from foreigners. And both of the book are worth it, I really recommend it to you! :)

Zadig & Voltaire: Spring Summer Collection 2011

French label Zadig & Voltaire opens its branch store recently, which is located in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Well known for its affordable luxury pieces, the store there will carry the women's and men's lines, as well as the accessory collection. You all should see the latest collection! I found myself amazed when they sent me the lookbook several weeks ago!

I think Erin Wasson is the perfect person to front as muse to Zadig & Voltaire SS11 collection. She expresses the spirit and embodies the casual chic style of the brand.

Gaia Repossi’s designs for Zadig & Voltaire are feminine, yet powerful, in her instantly recognizable and dramatic style. Her designs are inspired by native American ethnic tribes.

Available at Zadig & Voltaire at Marina Bay Sands Shoppes, 2 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore. Or you can shop online here! :)
