Here we go! Anne Avantie "Indonesia Sehati" show for Indonesia Fashion Week 2012 closing day! It took 9 months for Anne to prepare for this epic show. She collaborated with Guruh Soekarno Putra who set the songs and Garin Nugroho who set the narratives for the show.
A lot of actors, actresses, and designers participated in this show too. Some of them sang for the show and some of them appeared as models wearing Anne's designs. The show turned out awesome and of course spectacular!

IFW 2012 Closing: M by Musa

Ferry Sunarto's show was followed by the ready to wear collection by Musa Widyatmodjo from the label M by Musa. Musa Widyatmodjo is one of my favorite local designers. I'm so glad that I had a chance to see his show :)
Musa's inspiration for the collection is "tenun Ende" from Nusa Tenggara Timur. He managed to mix cultural influences and global trends in his designs. I really love his modern, sexy, and elegant designs!

IFW 2012 Closing: Ferry Sunarto

Indonesia Fashion Week closing was opened by talented senior designer Ferry Sunarto. Using soft and lightweight fabrics, pearls, and crystals, his collection is inspired by Dewata Island.
His "Fascinating Romance" collection is not only gorgeous but also glamorous and elegant. I think his collection is very comfortable to wear because he uses tulle, lace, jacquard, and crape fabrics.
I love how he designs kebaya with modern look without forgetting about Indonesia's cultural heritage. Ferry Sunarto can fulfill Asian women's flavor about kebaya.

These two are my favorite:

Indonesia Fashion Week 2012: Closing Day

Me and my sister's friends went to Indonesia Fashion Week 2012 last week, at Plenary Hall Jakarta Convention Center. Actually, we got invitations for Anne Avantie's show and was supposed to sit at the tribune. But it turned out that the tribune seats was opened for public. I don't know why it happened but I still enjoyed the show, though!

Spotted Stylish: his tattoos captivated me!

There were 3 senior designers: Anne Avantie, Ferry Sunarto, Musa Widyatmodjo. They showed their own typical characteristic in their designs, but still, they use Indonesia's culture as their inspiration.
The collection I love the most is M by Musa. For me, Indonesia has a great prosperity in world fashion industry. We should keep embracing it by using local product which is as great as foreign/international product :D

Musa Widyatmodjo (love his scarf!)
